Paul Ferguson
(1916-1996) won the Southern Welterweight Champion title in 1939 and held
it 11 years with 232 professional fights. This is the story of his life in and
out of the ring. Paul became a plainspoken evangelist, primarily known for his
unusual power in prayer and his use of memorized scripture in his sermons.
He
memorized over 8,000 verses of scripture and worked to maintain them until he
went home at age 80. He coached kids in baseball and was a handball champion
almost to the end of his life.
I’m not in the book business,
but I felt I should highlight Paul’s life and ministry to encourage us all to
pray more and better. It resulted in a paperback book of 288 pages: 21 chapters,
17 pages of photos, appendix, preface, all set in large type for easy reading.”
